About Sameer Shah Mr. Shah is Managing Director of Shah & Associates, based in Tampa, Florida. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Financial Planner. Mr. Shah is a member of NAPFA (National Association of Personal Financial Advisors) and AIMR (Association for Investment Management and Research). He is frequently quoted in the media, most recently by The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Personal Finance, Fox News, Dow Jones, Kiplinger's, Morningstar, Financial Advisor, and Investment Advisor. Mr. Shah is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, where he focuses on topics concerning advanced investment strategies for private clients as well as trends in the independent advisor industry. He is the founder and moderator of a virtual study group of 50 advisors nationwide, who discuss and research new investment products and techniques. He serves on the Financial Advisor Roundtable for Tiburon Strategic Advisors, a leading consultant to financial institutions. Mr. Shah's has served as a senior management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he developed solutions and counseled executives for global Fortune 500 companies. He also served as CEO and founder of an internet start-up company, IntelligentAdvisor, Inc. Mr. Shah has also held positions with the investment banking firms of Goldman Sachs (in mergers and acquisitions) and Salomon Brothers (in sales and trading).
